Thanks to everyone who supported our recording project fundraiser on Kickstarter.com! Our goal was met with time to spare and we're now working on all the details before launching with a live-recording show at Natasha's on May 19.

Something special happens when good friends get together to share ideas, develop mutual artistic trust and before you know it, songs start happening. Over almost a year of writing and collaborating, The City has developed a collection of original songs for recording. 

The City is a six-piece band featuring electric violin, guitar, vocals, keyboards, saxophones. bass and drums/percussion. Our music is a blend of influences. We'd be hard pressed to give it a name. Members of The City repesent several generations and have lived in places as varied as New Orleans, Louisville, Las Vegas, Morehead, Seattle, Bethlehem (KY), New York, Lexington and Pikeville, absorbing all kinds of music: rock, jazz, blues, country, blues, latin...the American soundscape.
